Bailey’s Irish Cream is a popular liqueur sold at just about all liquor stores. In its essence it is simply an Irish whiskey combined with dairy. Getting the balance and consistency right is the tricky part. It is not at all difficult to make, but it does require the use of a blender. Once you have made it once, you’ll never have to buy it again.
Irish Cream Ingredients
- 1 cup thickened cream
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 and 1/2 cups Irish whiskey
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
- 1 teaspoon instant coffee (espresso coffee usually doesn’t dissolve completely)
- Optional: 1 teaspoon almond extract
Method
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend for 1 minute.
The Irish Cream will keep in the refrigerator for a few weeks. Alternatively, it can be frozen and eaten as some delicious adult ice-creams.
