Oban is a small distillery that you could easily miss if you were driving through the town of Oban. It’s also compact in its production of whisky. Almost everything is bottled at the age of 14 years, so that there is a neat and tidy turnover of whisky. There are only two stills at the Oban Distillery.
Founded in 1795, the price of Oban whiskies is gradually climbing. Their 14 year old is a very interesting character that seems to polarize the whisky drinking community. Highly recommended to try if you get the chance.
